- Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate (SCI): a mild cleanser derived from coconut oil.
- Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate (SLSa): a mild cleanser that gives a rich lather.
- Cocamidopropyl Betaine: a mild cleanser and foam booster derived from coconut oil.
- Kaolin: a soft white clay that helps absorb excess oil at the scalp.
- Pumpkin seed oil: a plant oil that softens the lengths and adds shine.
- Panthenol (provitamin B5): a humectant that helps hair hold on to moisture and feel softer.
- Rice starch: helps absorb excess oil at the roots for a light, fresh feel.
- Rice bran oil: a light plant oil that softens and conditions.
- Melissa (lemon balm) essential oil: gives the fresh, herbal scent.
- Gluconolactone and Sodium Benzoate: the preservative system that keeps the bar safe to use.
- Tocopherol (vitamin E) in sunflower seed oil: an antioxidant that protects the oils in the bar from going rancid.
- Geraniol, Limonene: natural parts of the essential oil, listed because they can affect people with fragrance allergies.
- Wet your hair thoroughly.
- Rub the bar between your hands, or glide it over wet hair two or three times, to make a lather.
- Massage the lather into your scalp with your fingertips, then let it run through the lengths.
- Rinse thoroughly and follow with conditioner on the lengths.
- Put the bar back in its bag and hang it somewhere it can dry.
- Never leave the bar in standing water; a soggy bar wears away quickly.
- Gliding the bar over your hair two or three times is plenty; rubbing it more uses it up faster.
- Use it to the last piece by keeping small ends in the bag with the new bar.
Is the Rice Shampoo Bar soap?
No. It is a soap free solid shampoo that cleans with SCI and SLSa.

I highly recommend it to anyone with damaged and dehydrated hair. I have been a blonde for many years, and my hair is thin and dry at the ends. The shampoo provides hydration and shine. I recommend using it in combination with the nourishing conditioner from the same line. Last but not least, the shampoo is very economical.
I love the shampoo. My hair look healthy after first use. Wow
