- Behentrimonium Methosulfate (in BTMS-50): a conditioning ingredient made from rapeseed oil that detangles and softens.
- Cetyl Alcohol: a fatty alcohol that gives a creamy texture and adds softness.
- Broccoli seed oil: a light plant oil that adds softness and shine.
- Cocoa butter: a rich plant butter that softens hair.
- Stearic Acid: gives the bar structure.
- Hydrolysed wheat protein: helps hair feel smoother.
- Glyceryl Oleate: helps blend the oils into the formula.
- Sodium Lactate:helps hair hold on to moisture.
- Citric Acid: adjusts the pH of the formula.
- Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin: the preservative system.
- Parfum, Citronellol, Coumarin, Limonene, Linalool: fragrance, and fragrance allergens listed by law.
- After shampooing, squeeze excess water from your hair.
- Glide the bar over the mid lengths and ends, or rub it between your hands and smooth it on.
- Comb through with your fingers or a wide tooth comb.
- For extra softness, leave it on for a few minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Keep it on the lengths if your roots get oily.
- Finish with a cooler rinse if you like the feel.
- Store on a draining rack or in the Shampoo Bar Box so it does not sit in water.
A conditioner bar for blonde and coloured hair
Lightening and colouring make hair more porous, so it can feel dry, rough and tangle easily. This is the conditioner bar I recommend most to my blonde clients. It is a concentrated solid conditioner with no water, made to leave lightened and coloured hair feeling soft and smooth.
What is in it
BTMS, a conditioning ingredient made from rapeseed oil, helps the comb glide through. Cocoa butter and broccoli seed oil soften the lengths and add shine. Hydrolysed wheat protein helps hair feel smoother, and sodium lactate helps it hold on to moisture.
How a solid conditioner bar works
Glide the bar over wet lengths after shampooing, or rub it between your hands, and it melts slightly into a creamy layer. Work it through the mid lengths and ends, where hair is driest, then rinse. A solid conditioner bar means no plastic bottle and nothing to spill when you travel.
